There are countless souls that swear by the transformational power of Yoga (me included in that list!). There is so much to say about Yoga and how it profoundly influences the way you look at things in a more equanimous way.
Yoga is not just a series of challenging postures where you try to match your breath. Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices and disciplines that help us to control the body and mind. Indeed, big part of yoga known in the west is the asanas but also breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation are integral part of this ancient wisdom. Yoga is not a practice set in time space, it lives within you, it is a philosophy that can truly change your life.

Yoga can calm down and reduce stress. It is proved that yoga can lower the levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) in your body, and that’s great because it will not only help you reduce your stress levels but also your anxiety and calm down your agitated nervous system.
What it’s best, yoga has also other benefits like improving the process of digestion and boosting the immune system. For people who suffer from insomnia, depression and fatigue, yoga is the first path to a radical life change.
Yoga help us to become aware, to be in the here and now.Because there’s no tomorrow and yesterday is gone. Yoga and meditation will allow you to live deeply in the present moment. One breath at a time, relax and feel the prana in your body. Prana is the sanskrit word for «life force» and refers to the vital energy that flows into your body but also it is what permits reality in this universe.
Yoga teaches to love our bodies and thus our Selves. Selflove is the key for a healthy and happy life. Yoga will help you to improve your flexibility as well as your body alignment and increase your inner strength. With a regular practice we inevitably become more conscious of our body, we learn so much about it and we start being thankful for everything that it does and provides to go through life.
